The Urban Winery invites you to join us for John Caro's 3rd presentation of Italian wines. This time, we will be focusssing on the brilliant 2016 Barolo's. The evening will begin with a refreshing glass of Italian bubbles with a suitable canape or two! This will be followed by the main vinous course of 8 Barolo's, accompanied by Italian styled grazing plates provided by our very own chef. Doors will open at 6.30pm for welcome drinks and the tasting will start at approximately 7.00pm. This will be a fantastic evening celebrating one of the world's best wine regions. Jacary are an acoustic duo who have both been playing for almost 40 years. They cover a huge array of artists from Pink Floyd, Joe Cocker & The Kinks to the likes of Elvis, Simon & Garfunkel, Bowie Tom Petty.... The list goes on &on! Jacary will be taking us on a journey through the decades with songs you know & love. We'll all be singing along!

Jack-Knife Beat rock the Urban Winery!

These guys are absolutely awesome and we are  pumped to have them back. Heart thumping, time travelling blues rock!

Specialists in this genre and pulling their inspiration from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, the incredible front-man and lead guitarist Jake O'Herlihy will remind you of rock 'n' roll stars from ages past. Tight rhythyms and cutting edge sound JKB features Ben Jackman on bass and Ivan Sawyer on drums. This gig was a sell out last time so book your tickets now.

Alternative Indie Folk Fest - Live at The Urban Winery

A very exciting collaboration of artists Charlotte Yates (Wellington), O Juliet (New Plymouth), & Tim Jardine and the Astronauts (Hawkes Bay) for a musical session to rival all Saturday sessions at The Urban Winery. 3 bands. 3 sets. Doors from 6pm. Music starts at 7pm

The bands cover transcendental psychedelia sounds to conventional Dylan and with these incredibly talented musicians, you can pretty much guarantee an extraordinary night!

Tim Jardine (local hidden talent) is the enigma of alternative experimental indie folk-rock. His band, The Astronauts have often accompanied him for recording exploits. He's up on Soundcloud, check him out. Live gigs are always lively!

Founded by songwriter Juliet McLean, the band O Juliet includes longtime collaborators and tour-mates Rob Ju on drums and Hamish Cameron playing bass. Combined they form a tasty, relaxing trio only slightly salty and pithier. They will be performing songs from their lates album "Unlash the Boats and older favourites.

Charlotte Yates is a recording artist based in Wellington. She has released seven of her own solo albums, alongside extensive collaborative and compilation work. Releasing her first album in 1991, Charlotte is a true icon and ambassador for music & the arts in New Zealand and her wealth of knowledge and experience is the perfect compliment to this feast of alternative indie folk-rock!
