DejaBlue is a band packed full of local legends. With heaps of experience between them, the band got together a few years ago and after "the Covid hiatus", is back in action with a change in line-up. The band features Lennie Lawton on guitar, Carmel Lawry on keys, Ian Hamilton on drums, Al Jackson on bass ; and now featuring Adrienne Toner on lead vocals.
DejaBlue offers a unique blend of sophisticated blues and a sprinkling of good old-fashioned rock.
We love our blues at the winery so should be a beautiful night!

We're having a "Classic Rock" theme this month... Choose your team-mates wisely!

Compete in four rounds for 8 prizes by dabbing the squares as you groove to the songs. It's as simple as that.

Happy Hour with Joe Cole

 

Come join us for happy hour specials from 5pm and stick around for a free live acoustic set with Joe Cole from 6pm.
After living his teenage years in the windy capital, Joe made his way up the coast to the mellow skies and humble towns of Hawkes Bay. Four years later, he's now leading an effective career as a musician, and has played at a variety of venues including Three Wise Birds and The Puketapu.
With musical influences such as David Gray, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix and Passenger, Joe delivers a rustic feel of new age folk and R&B.
Joe is no stranger to the Urban Winery and we're delighted to be have him back!

Jess Atkin & The Urban Cats - Live

 

Jess Atkin has become renowned for her distinctive, powerful yet soulful voice, which slips well into the Rock and R&B vibe yet transitions smoothly into the Jazz & Blues genres. She takes well known standards from a range of styles and puts her own distinctive slant on them. Something special to listen to.
Jess is supported by The Urban Cats. Fronted by the renowned "Dad" Dave Atkin on keyboard, the bass section is put together by mix of stand-up and electric bass by the multi-talented Alex Powley. The rhythm section is completed and kept in sync with husband Joost Persoon on Cahon. Adding to this, The Urban Cats are punctuated with a one-man horn section by the famous Matt Mear on trumpet, playing tasteful breaks and backgrounds.

Lots of energy & groovy rhythms, have your dancing shoes ready!
